Celebrating the Earth in our Local Community

Raleigh N.C. Planet Earth Celebration

Planet Earth Celebration

A time to honor Earth Day, celebrate sustainability, and meet the many good people, businesses and organizations in our community who are really making it happen.

We are thrilled to be a presenting sponsor of the annual PLANET EARTH CELEBRATION, Respect Your Mother in Raleigh N.C. This year, the 2nd Annual Planet Earth Celebration was held on April 18th, 2009. For a recap of this year's festivities, please go to www.planetearthcelebration.com.

Planet Earth Celebration began in 2008, when the Museum of Natural Sciences, Burt’s Bees and the City of Raleigh worked together to present an event to celebrate the meaningful efforts and many resources for sustainable living available to all of us right here in the Triangle community. We found wonderful partners offering goods and services, education and motivation, as well as some 15,000 festival-goers who came together to help make for a fun-filled festival that respects, educates and entertains.

The event is held at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences and the State Capitol Grounds in downtown Raleigh, NC and features local businesses & non profits whose good works support sustainable living. There are also lots of fun activities throughout the day. Be sure to check out the list of festivities, exhibitors and event schedule here.
